Longing for Seasons

I used to love reading the Betsy-Tacy series, and I longed to live in her world of bonfires, fireplaces, hay rides, apple-picking, pumpkin carving, fudge-baking, ice-skating on a pond, mittens and scarves and muffs, rosy cheeks, hot chocolate, and Sunday Night Lunch.  Betsy's life seemed absolutely perfect.

(If you haven't read the Betsy-Tacy Series, you need to right now!)

Everyone in the Northern Hemisphere is getting excited about summer, and here I am longing for Fall.

Maybe it's because I've been in perpetual summer since last May, and I have more summer to look forward to when we move back to the States.  I'm longing for cooler weather.

It's currently "Fall" in Rio, but the temperature is still going strong.  As is our air conditioner.

I love Fall and the cooling temperatures, the football games, the pumpkins and gourds, the scarves and boots and knitted sweaters, the feelings I can't describe, the vague nostalgia...

Do you live where there are 4 distinct seasons?  What's your favorite season?

Where in the world is the best place to experience Autumn?

XO,

Julie
